The Uqobo Story
Uqobo Badge & Tie Manufacturers is a local manufacturer situated in Johannesburg, specialising in the design and manufacture of custom neckties, scarves, and badges. Our standard product range for ties is a printed-sublimated polyester, however, woven ties are available on request. We also manufacture banners, flags, epaulettes, bandanas, sashes, and much more. Uqobo staff and management have collectively been in the industry for more than forty years and has a large client base ranging from corporate companies, institutions and schools. Through the years of being in business, we can assure that all of our clients will receive a high level of service and product delivery. Our factory works hard to ensure that we get your orders processed on time so that we can adhere to all deadlines.

Where does the process start?
All you need to do is email your logo, colours, and specifications to us with a brief outline of the purpose for your tie, scarf, etc. We will then go through the design process to make sure that we deliver to what you expect. Once the design is approved we proceed with the manufacturing of your goods followed by the delivery of your products.
Who do we service?
Uqobo services all industries including clubs, institutions, promotion houses, companies, schools, government departments as well as general the public.
Service delivery
Designs take a maximum of one week to prepare. We generally give all our clients a two to three week estimated time to get their orders.
Bespoke | Tailored
Fabrics
Standard ties and scarves are made from selected high-quality polyester. The designs are sublimated into the fabric resulting in a colourfast, hand washable product.
Designs
After taking a detailed design brief, we will create two designs for you to choose from. The designs are done in such a way that they will closely resemble the final product, ensuring that you receive what you have approved. On approval of a design, a full pre-production sample is printed and manufactured for final approval of colours. Designs take approximately one week to prepare.
Sublimation
The sublimation process is one whereby special dyes are first printed onto paper and then transferred into the fabric as a gas under high temperature and pressure, as opposed to inks printed onto the surface of the fabric.
